Alliance Pharma says that its sales rose by one-third in the first half of 2009.

The share price has risen more than 400% in six months. At 16.25p a share, up 1.25p on the day, the pharmaceuticals supplier is valued at £26.3m.

Sales will be in the region of £13.2m in the six months to June 2009. Gross margins have improved so the interim profit should be at least £2.7m.

Nigel Wray recently increased his stake to 10.3%.

The interim figures will be published on 9 September.

Dividend payments should start early in 2009.
