The independent directors of Andor Technology are talking to another potential bidder.

They withdrew their recommendation of the 73p a share bid by management buy out vehicle Thorndale because of strong trading. There was a potential counter offer from Carraig Capital but it is unclear whether this is the potential bidder that the independent directors are talking to.

At 67.5p, the shares are trading below the Thorndale bid but there is no certainty that there will be a higher bid.
