Architect Archial Group has improved profitability in the second half of 2009 but it will still report a loss after restructuring charges.

Cost savings are already showing through and there is more to come in 2010.

Revenues will be one-fifth down at £33m. This is better than the architectural sector as a whole. The order book is worth around £34m, with nearly two-thirds due to be generated in 2010.

Archial has opened an office in Abu Dhabi and further offices in Toronto and Vietnam are planned.

Net debt has edged down from £14.3m to £13.8m over the year.

A8.5p a share, up 1p on the day, Archial is valued at £20.2m.
