Books retailer and e-commerce group ArgentVive is launching a business to consumer business and a new mobile phone service.

ArgentVive, formerly known as Samedaybooks.co.uk, has set up Retail8 to acquire and incubate consumer e-commerce and web publishing businesses. It is launching a new service called BookRabbit.com, which helps internet-enabled mobile phone users to find out where the nearest book shop is. It utilises Google’s Mapping service to give satellite and
geographical data. In the future book stores will be able to use the service to tell people details of the books they have in stock.
