Online market research provider BrainJuicer reported better than expected 2007 profits.

BrainJuicer offers a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. Its revenues increased from £4.61m to £6.57m last year. Profits jumped from £94,000 to £893,000. Cash increased by £642,000 to £1.88m.

There was a strong finish to the year. The Netherlands business grew fastest but the UK and US also increased revenues. The second half always tends to generate around 60% of annual revenues.

BrainJuicer has 15 out of the world’s top 100 companies as clients. It plans to open more offices. They tend to need three people and take around 18 months to break even. Europe and China are the areas that BrainJuicer is targeting for expansion.

The shares rose 1p to 147.5p, valuing the company at £18.6m. Edison forecasts 2008 profits of £1.2m on turnover of £8.8m.
