Broadcast boost for Charteris

Macquarie Bank’s £2.5bn purchase of National Grid’s phone mast and broadcast business is good news for IT consultancy Charteris.

Macquarie always employs Charteris to help to transfer and integrate the IT systems of its acquisitions. Charteris worked on the Wales and West gas distribution network that Macquarie bought from National Grid Transco for £1.2bn in August 2004. In that case a new company had to be created and back office systems installed so that Macquarie could take over the operation of the gas network.
