Anti microbial hygiene technology developer Byotrol says that delays in product launches mean that revenues will not grow as fasted as was hoped in the year to March 2012.
Revenues will be around £2m and house broker finnCap expects an underlying loss of £2.2m. However, it still expects Byotrol to move into profit in 2012-13. The broker forecasts a profit of £400,000 on revenues of £6.3m.
Rentokil Initial has launched a range of products under the UltraProtect brand based on Byotrol’s technology but this is later than expected. They include hand and surface sanitising products. These will be rolled-out across Europe during 2012.
Byotrol will receive $300,000 for the six month extension of a joint development agreement with a large company. The technology has passed the tests set and consumer research is being undertaken.
At 10.75p a share, Byotrol is valued at £15.4m. There is still £1.2m in the bank and there should still be cash left at the end of March 2013 – if things go to plan.
