Engineer and castings maker Chamberlin has boosted its engineering operations with the purchase of the assets of Jebron from its administrator.

Chamberlin paid £162,000 in cash for Jebron, which could add £1m a year to group revenues.

Jebron supplies high performance door closers which fits will with the Exidor business, which is the UK leader in emergency exit hardware.

There will be integration costs of £100,000 this year as the Jebron business is moved to Exidor’s site in Cannock. Chamberlin is on the lookout for more acquisitions.

At 114.5p a share, Chamberlin is valued at £8.52m.
