China Biodiesel has increased its production of higher priced biodiesel products in order to offset the effect of rising materials costs.
This means that 2007 results will be in line with previously downgraded expectations. Output increased throughout the year.
Another problem has been Chinese government control of fuel prices. The higher priced products do not come under the government controls. In August, 30% of China Biodiesel’s production was these products. By the end of the year they made up three-quarters of output.
A new plant at Xiamen is building up to trial production.
The shares were unchanged at 18.5p.
Full year figures will be released on 21 April.
