China Biodiesel International

China Biodiesel International has begun trial production at its new plant at Xiamen in Fujian Province.

This should keep China Biodiesel on track to achieve market expectations for 2008. China Biodiesel makes biodiesel from waste oil. It can’t make any profit from selling bio diesel as a fuel because prices are fixed by the government so it is selling biodiesel to chemical companies. These selling prices are higher and they aren’t fixed by the government. More than three-quarters of output is being sold to these chemical company customers.

China Biodiesel is sourcing a large proportion of its waste oil needs from Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines because it costs less - even when transportation is taken into account.

At 15p a share, China Biodiesel is valued at £6.81m.
