Dual-Fuel engine management technology developer Clean Air Power Ltd says that so far this year it has received orders for 250 of its Dual-Fuel units.

This compares with sales of 300 units in 2012. These are European orders and Clean Air Power is planning to move into the Russian market.

However, Volvo is focused on other areas and it is unlikely to order as many Dual-Fuel units in 2013 as hoped. Volvo has been increasing production of standard diesel Euro 5 compliant vehicles ahead of the Euro 6 emission standards in 2014. Ultimately, this should provide retro-fit opportunities.

The first prototype of the US version of the technology will be exhibited at the end of the month. The abundance of gas in the US means that this should be a receptive market.

At 7.25p a share, down 0.5p, Clean Air Power is valued at £12.8m.
