Clean Air Power believes that BOC’s decision to triple the production capacity of its liquefied natural gas facility on the east coast of Australia is good news for its technology.

Clean Air has developed Dual-Fuel combustion technology that enables heavy-duty diesel engines to run on a combination of both diesel and natural gas. The new plant, which is due to come on stream in two years time, will provide a source of fuel for the Dual-Fuel technology. Clean Air believes that Australia will be an important market for its technology.

Problems with a £1.5m Australian order have been resolved and the customer has ordered a further 20 vehicles worth another £900,000.

Clean Air had £3.67m in the bank at the end of June but it plans to raise more cash before the end of this year. The existing cash may last until early next summer.
