The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race will visit China in 2009-10 and 2011-12.
Race owner Clipper Ventures says that the yeachts will visit the Olympic sailing centre at the city of Qingdao. The city will also sponsor its own entry to the race.
No cash value was put on the deal.
The shares edged up 0.25p to 13.25p.
