Moorfields Eye Hospital is trialling the Pulzar Z1 laser developed by CustomVis.

Shares in CustomVis jumped 0.25p to 1.4p a share, which values the laser eye surgery technology developer at 2.37m.

The Moorfields trials should commence in June 2009.

Three Pulzar Z1 lasers have been installed in recent months - two in Saudi Arabia and one in Pakistan - taking the total installed to 40 lasers.

Tracey Technologies Inc will be the exclusive distributor of the iTrace device in Australia and New Zealand. The iTrace is used to measure quality of vision and visual function.

Stuart Usher has been appointed as finance director.
