Aim adviser Daniel Stewart Securities reduced its loss in the year to March 2008.

It fell from £5.37m to £2m as revenues moved forward from £7.55m to £8.37m. Much of that growth in revenues came in the second half, although a profit was reported at the interim stage.

There were trading position losses of £1.4m last year. All sizeable trading positions have been realised.

Daniel Stewart has maintained its cash position at £2.7m.

The cost base has been cut since the year end as trading conditions continue to be difficult.

Last year Daniel Stewart raised £126m in 25 transactions, against £70m from 12 transactions the previous year.

At 3.125p a share, Daniel Stewart is valued at £6.73m.
