Two major shareholders in Aim adviser Daniel Stewart Securities have sold shares.

Allianz has sold all its 4.79% stake and Terence Galgey has reduced his shareholding to 15m shares, equivalent to 5.76%.

Galgey became a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1976. He joined Daniel Stewart in 1996 and subsequently became a director. He resigned on 7 November 2003. This was prior to Daniel Stewart’s move from Ofex to Aim on 18 October 2004. Galgey owned 32.77m shares when he resigned.

Galgey is not included in the list of major shareholders in the last annual report but HSBC Global Nominees does own 17.52m. This appears to be Galgey’s holding which suggests that he sold around 2.52m shares.

The Daniel Stewart share price rose 0.25p to 2.75p a share, valuing the company at £7.16m.
