Mobile payments company e-pay Asia generated A$1.4m (£600,000) in cash in the three months to September 2007.

This was thanks to the strong performance of e-pay Asia’s Malaysian business. It has also added new products and services that can be sold through its terminals.

It perked up the shares for the first time in months. They rose 1.375p to 3.625p.

A move into China is still planned and e-pay Asia expects to announce progress in the near future.
