Operations management software supplier eg solutions expects to make a small profit for the year to January 2010.

This sparked a 2.5p rise in the share price to 38.5p, which values the company at £5.5m. The share price has risen by more than one-third since the interim figures.

The company lost £753,000 in the previous year and reported a profit of £56,000 in the six months to July 2009 - even though revenues fell 8% to £2.09m. Full year revenues are expected to improve from £3.7m to £4m.

New orders have been won from Nationwide Building Society and firms in in Scandinavia and South Africa.

Net cash was £400,000 at the end of January 2010.

The figures for the year to January 2010 will be issued on 24 March.
