Film library owner Handmade has asked for its shares to be suspended because it will not be publishing its annual report before the end of June - just like last year.

Last year Handmade blamed the transition to IFRS accounts and this year it is due to a number of corporate transactions and a fundraising.

The shares have been suspended at 11.5p each, which values Handmade at £16.4m. Last June, the shares were suspended at 20.25p each, valuing Handmade at £23.5m. Share dealing was restored on 30 September 2008.

Handmade is planning a film about the children’s character Eloise and a remake of The Long Good Friday.
