Oil refinery consultancy and software provider KBC Advanced Technologies is licensing its Petro-SIM refinery simulation software to Petrobras.
The Brazilian oil company will use the software for its Brazilian sites and some of its international ones. The three year licence contract is worth more than $4m. Petrobras has used KBC’s software in the past.
This contract means that KBC can meet expectations for 2009 – with just over a fortnight to spare.
Aviva recently sold more than 1m shares and reduced its stake to 4.92%. The date of the transaction was 11 December. The share price was 36p on that day. Since then it has risen to 40.5p, up 2.5p on the day, which values KBC at £23.2m.
