Lewis Charles Romania Property Fund Ltd

Lewis Charles Romania Property Fund Ltd has launched a retail and leisure development in Ploiesti.

The development will be called Zenith and the architects are Benoy, which designed Bluewater shopping centre in Kent. Ploiesti is Romania’s second most populous city.

Lewis Charles Romania says that there will be more than 58,000 square metres of retail and leisure space and the development should be completed by the end of 2010.

Lewis Charles Romania is a fund that invests in residential and commercial property in and around Bucharest and other major Romanian cities. It raised £27.4m at 140p a share when it floated on Aim on 2 August 2007.

Shares in the company fell 0.5p to 69p. The net asset value per share at the end of 2007 was €2.14 or 168.5p.
