Grant Thornton has resigned as the nominated adviser of Aim adviser Libertas Capital.

This follows the suspension of the shares on 9 January at 3p. The share suspension was requested “pending clarification of the company’s financial position and strategic options”.

Libertas said that it has not received the cash investment expected from Avis Energy Ltd, which was due to invest£8.5m in the business in the form of convertible loan notes.

Renewable energy group Avis has 300 projects and joint ventures around the world.

The resignation takes effect from 21 January and Libertas has a further month to find a replacement or lose its Aim quotation.
