Ludorum

Animated series developer and producer Ludorum has signed a deal with DC Thomson to represent the media rights of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher from the Beano. 

A new series of 52 x 11 minute episodes should be ready by the autumn of 2009 and has bee pre-sold to the BBC and Nine Network in Australia. Ludorum hopes to increase the international audience for the characters.

Chugginton, a 3D animation series about three trainee diesel engines, has secured broadcasting agreements with the BBC, SuperRTL, TF1and ABC. Production on the series, which is aimed at three-to-six year olds, started late last year and it is unlikely to be broadcast before spring 2009.

Global toy manufacturer Learing Curve will be developing toys which should be in the shops in 2010. Ludorum is also looking for hoem entertainment and book publishing partners.

Ludorum’s full year figures will be published on 23 April.

The shares were unchanged at 105p.
