Ludorum expects to generate revenues from Chuggington and Marvo, the Wonder Chicken in 2008.

Animated series Chuggington is about three trainee diesel engines called Wilson, Brewster and Koko. A series of 52, 10 minute episodes should be completed before the end of the year. The BBC will show it in the UK and it is expected to be broadcast in spring 2009. A major toy maker will provide 50% of the cost of the series, which is being animated in China.

Marvo is a character in DC Thomson’s comic The Dandy. There are 52, two minute animations in production and they will be ready this autumn. There is no dialogue, which will increase the international appeal. Ludorum is in advanced discussions with major broadcasters.

Longer-term, there will be a new series of Dennis the Menace. It has already been pre-sold in the UK and Australia.

There was no revenue in 2007. The loss increased from £1.41m to £1.6m. The former Anime business Gong, which was sold last year, lost an additional £2.88m.

Ludorum raised £3.1m at 100p a share last October. There is £1.75m in the bank and, this year, money will be received from the major toy company that is helping finance Chuggington.

The shares held steady at 104p.
