Norish says its cold store division has increased its profit contribution by 38% to £1.09m in the first four months of the financial year.

The sourcing businesses made a reduced profit of £141,000, down from £184,000. The dairy division is set to perform better this year.

In the first four months of 2019, group pre-tax profit improved 80% to £754,000. Net debt is reducing from he £4.9m figure at the end of 2018.

Even if the rate of profit growth does not continue, earnings per share should be higher than the 5p reported last year. The current share price is 66p.
