Oxford Nutrascience Group has signed a licensing agreement with Brazilian pharma company Aché Laboratórios Farmacêuticos.

Oxford Nutrascience will supply healthcare products that will be sold under Aché’s women’s health brand, called ‘Inellare’. This is a seven year agreement. Aché will also distribute Oxford Nutrascience’s products in Brazil.

Oxford Nutrascience is developing delivery systems for medicines and supplements which use prebiotic soluble fibre technology. The company has developed a proof of concept for the taste masking of pain killer Ibuprofen.

Oxford Nutrascience reported a loss of £830,000 on revenues of £123,000 for 2010. There was cash in the bank of £896,000.

Former IP Group boss David Norwood was appointed non-executive chairman last week.

At 4.5p a share, Oxford Nutrascience is valued at £20.9m. Oxford Nutrascience raised £1.1m (£890,000 net) at 1.75p a share when it joined Aim in February 2010. That valued the consumer healthcare company at £8.12m.
