Mobile gaming company Probability lost £599,000 in the six months to September 2007 but it broke even at the operating level in September.

Net gaming revenues rose 83% to £1.17m. This has come about without any contribution from recent deals with Rank and The Sun. The ‘private room’ for casino VIP customers is achieving values in excess of £25,000 per customer. Management says that it will continue to focus on the UK market.

Probability still has cash of £1.03m in the bank but if it can continue to improve month-on-month this shouldn’t fall significantly in the short-term and should build over the medium-term.

Probability is expected to break even for the year as a whole and make £700,000 profit in the year to March 2009. That doesn’t take account of any significant contribution from the recent deals. The shares held steady at 41p, which values the company at 10 times 2008-09 earnings.
