Mobile phone gaming company Probability made its first ever operating profit in the fourth quarter of 2007.

Net gaming revenues were 38% higher than the previous quarter, while total customers increased 22% to 276,275. Trading was particularly strong around Christmas. With the 23 December the busiest day ever with 9.5 bets a second. There was a small fall in cash over the quarter to £1m.

During the period deals were announced with Orange and The Sun. The service with Blue Square went live during the quarter. The Orange deal added 5,000 new players in December. There should be more to come from these deals.

Trading remains strong and overheads are under control. The shares rose 8p to 67.5p.
