Retail screen media supplier Retec Digital says it has traded profitably in the second half of the year to June 2008.

Delays to projects have affected growth and some of those delayed revenues will come through in 2008-09. Management believes that its retail screens and kiosks help retailers to reduce their marketing costs and there is scope to widen the range of product lines covered by Retec.

Retec had cash of £500,000 at the end of June 2008, having raised £750,000 at 2.5p a share in April.

The full year figures will be reported in the fourth week of October. Equity Development forecasts a loss of £300,000 for 2007-08 and a profit of £600,000 in 2008-09.

At 1.88p, the shares are trading on six times prospective earnings for 2008-09.
