Stilo International

Content management software provider Stilo International is investing in future products and this has hit its interim figures. 

Stilo’s profits before exceptionals fell from £86,000 to £5,000 in the six months to June 2007. The weak US dollar knocked £52,000 off profits. Revenues increased 14% to £1.25m.The growth came in the consultancy business. Recurring revenues were £360,000.

Stilo is developing new online services and developing version 9 of its Omnimark content processing software. Stilo spent £105,000 on research and development in the first half and this will increase in the second half. The spend is expected to rise from 8.4% of sales to 19% of sales. The new products will be released in 2008.

The business has been reorganised in order to focus on content migration, technical information publishing and product lifecycle and document management for SAP customers. 

The first half cash outflow of £183,000. There is still £237,000 in the bank with a large debtor of £100,000 due to be paid in the second half.
