Engineer Tricorn has invested $50,000 in a fully operational powder coat and wet spray painting line in Georgia.

It will be up and running by the end of July. Adding this service will help Tricor to add to its margin on some of its products.

In the year to March 2019, revenues are expected to be broadly flat at £22.7m with pre-tax profit improved from £800,000 to £1.1m. There was a lower contribution from the energy division. The figures are released on 3 June.

High operational gearing means that if Tricorn can add to its revenues then a large proportion should fall through to profit.

This year a pre-tax profit of £1.5m is forecast on revenues of £23.9m.

At 18.5p a share, Tricorn is trading on less than five times prospective 2019-20 earnings.
