Pulse is a Malaysia-based online market research firm which was launched in June 2005 and has been profitable in each of its first two years trading. It also has sales offices in Sydney, New York and London with another in Japan planned. The main shareholders are its management and Japanese venture capital company JAIC. Pulse planned to join Aim originally but decided on Plus-quoted instead. Aim-quoted, Plus-focused investment company Evolve Capital provided a £400,000 convertible loan to Pulse, which it converted at 4.5p a share. When Pulse floated on Plus-quoted on 27 June 2008 Evolve subscribed another £100,000 for shares at 10p each.
