1st Dental Laboratories swung from loss to profit in the year to November 2008.

A £146,000 profit was turned into a loss of £265,000 on revenues that fell from £11m to £10.1m. There was a one-off cost of £80,000 for the costs of the bid talks, which have now ended. Net debt is £1.43m.

The company has formed a regional sales force in order to grow revenues. Investment in the laboratories will give them up to date equipment.

A 0.625p decline in share price to 4.5p each, values 1st Dental at £1.89m.
