Advanced Power Components says that its full year revenues and profits will be in line with expectations.

A strong performance from APC’s latest acquisition, Contech Electronics, offset the effect of a deferred shipment and the negative movement of the pound against the dollar.

Seymour Pierce expects profits of £800,000 in the year to August 2008. At 18.5p, down 0.25p, that values APC at five times 2007-08 earnings. APC is valued at £4.19m.

The specialist electronic components distributor says that it is discovering new opportunities from integrating its recent acquisitions. Chief executive Mark Robinson is positive about the future.

APC is on the shortlist for the South East final of the Sunday Times Bank of Scotland Corporate Entrepreneur Challenge. The regional final is on Thursday 11 September and APC could win a £5m funding package.

There will then be a national final in December.
