Live events company Aeorema Communications increased its overheads in the first half and expects to reap the benefits in the second half.
In the six months to December 2018, revenues improved by 7% to £2m, but the company fell into loss. Two senior executive staff have been appointed and this increased costs. They did help to win the event contract for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
The cash position was maintained at £1.03m. This will provide funding for any suitable acquisitions that are found. A final dividend is planned, subject to the full year performance. Business is always second half weighted so the performance should be much better than at the interim stage.
