Agriterra Ltd is seeking a quote on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The board decided to apply for a TSX quotation and change the year end to May. The next figures will be for the 11 months to May 2009. The Mozambican agricultural operations were not acquired until February 2009.

Formerly known as White Nile, Agriterra did not generate any revenues in the six months to December 2008. The reported loss was £2.13m. The company was involved in oil exploration in Southern Sudan during that period.

Agriterra opened its second agricultural buying and processing facility in May 2009. The first was at Chimoio and the second, which cost $8.9m, in Tete. It is the maize buying season in Tete province in Mozambique. Beans and ground nuts may also be acquired by this facility.

The share price fell 0.125p to 4p, which values Agriterra at £19m.

The 11 month figures will be published later in the summer.

It is not clear if Agriterra will join the TSX itself or the Toronto Venture Exchange. Agriterra’s core business has not been part of the group for long so the TSX-V might end up being its home.
