Jeremy Grime is stepping down as chief executive of Aim adviser Arden Partners less than one month after he gained regulatory approval to take up the position.

It is thought that Grime had a disagreement with the board over a potential acquisition.

Grime was appointed chief executive designate on 22 June. Grime joined Arden in 2007 and established its financials team so he was not an unknown quantity. Grime’s appointment was confirmed when Arden warned that it will not meet profit expectations this year.

Grime replaced Jonathan Keeling as chief executive with Keeling becoming deputy chairman in order to focus on adding to the Indian client base. Keeling will reassume the position of chief executive for the time being.

Arden recently floated Indian outsourcing firm iEnergizer Ltd.

At 47.5p a share, Arden is valued at £12.1m.
