ArgentVive may sell one of its main trading businesses.

A conditional offer has been made for Solcara. This was one of the businesses that ArgentVive had intended to focus on after it restructured its operations. There was no indication of the value of the offer.

Solcara supplies software for managing and searching digital information. The business was acquired for £4.5m in January 2008.

Charles Denton has resigned as deputy chairman. Denton owns 41.5% of ArgentVive.

The restructuring of the business has stopped ArgentVive publishing its results for the year to March 2008. The shares were suspended at 1.375p each on 30 September. That values ArgentVive at £570,000.
