Best of the Best says that the closure of airports due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland will hit its profits for the year to April 2010.

The company, which organises competitions to win luxury cars that it displays in airport terminals, has not been generating income from these airport sites since 15 April. Trading was previously in line with expectations but the closures will have a negative impact on the full year figures.

Best of the Best has won a new contract in Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport. The refurbishment of Edinburgh Airport is coming to an end so this will provide a further boost next year.

The full year figures will be published in July.

At 32.5p a share, down 3p, Best of the Best is valued at £4.13m.
