CareCapital Group intends to demerge its original healthcare property development business.

This could take the form of a separate quotation for the business or an alternative such as a sale of the business.

CareCapital has recently started an advanced cancer services division. Existing and potential investors have indicated that it would be advantageous to split the two activities.

In 2011, the continuing healthcare property activities made a pre-tax profit of £717,000 on revenues of £6.1m.  The sale of the German activities helped to reduce borrowings.

At 0.8p a share, CareCapital is valued at £1.32m.
