Clarity Commerce Solutions says that its results for the year to March 2009 will be slightly ahead of expectations.
That prompted a 2.5p rise in the share price to 29.5p, which values Clarity at £9.45m. House broker Arbuthnot forecast full year profits of £1m, which would have put the shares on less than seven times estimated 2008-09 earnings.
The retail and leisure software supplier says that it now has net cash. – excluding any deferred consideration payments.
The hospitality business has gained orders from two hotel chains and the retail software side has won orders from Focus DIY and Dutch grocery retailer Schuitema. It is taking longer to secure sales but Clarity is confident that its customer base still needs to invest in software in order to compete.
Full year figures will be released on 22 June 2009.
