Clipper Ventures chairman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston has bought more shares in the round the world yacht race organiser.

He has acquired just over 1.1m shares at 7.375p each, at a cost of nearly £83,000. This takes his stake to 17.1%.

Sir Robin has increased his shareholding by around 10 percentage points in the past two months.

At 7.75p a share, Clipper is valued at £3.02m. This year’s pre-tax profits are expected to be similar to the £1.14m reported last year.
