Driver Group

Three weeks after announcing its interim figures Driver Group says that trading has become more difficult and full year profits will be flat.

The construction dispute resolution and advisory services provider made a profit before share option charges of £2.08m in the year to September 2008 and this year’s outcome will be similar.

This knocked 7p off the share price leaving it at 67.5p a share, which values Driver at £17.8m.

A litigation contract in Oman was settled earlier than expected and the rise in sterling has hit Middle Eastern profits.

The UK business has suffered from reduced building activity in the north, while London has not secured as many contracts as hoped.
