Edenville Energy

Coal explorer Edenville Energy has started the scoping study at the Namwele coal deposit in the Rukwa coalfield in Tanzania.

The study will be completed in the third quarter. Edenville has submitted a revised Environmental Impact Statement to the Tanzanian government. This is part of the process in putting together a feasibility study in order to turn the present licence into a mining licence. The plan is to produce 25,000 tonnes of coal each month.

Edenville has a resource of 39mt at an average calorific value of 17MJ/kg at Mkomolo in the Rukwa coalfield project. The coal is suitable for use in power generation.

Edenville has raised £107,000at 0.2p a share from its equity finance facility with Darwin Strategic.

At 0.17p a share, Edenville is valued at £8m.
