Eruma expects to continue to grow in 2008.

The security blinds and emergency lighting supplier’s revenues grew 74% to £955,000 in 2007. There was a six months contribution from emergency lighting supplier Illuminex. It still lost £837,000, against £878,000 the previous year.

Eruma is building up its sales expertise in order to tap the global anti-terrorism market. Its security blinds can withstand a 1,000 pounds TNT equivalent blast.

Philips has chosen to market the DALI protocol version of Illuminex’s Xscape Series emergency lighting product range in the UK. There is a 98% reduction in energy consumption when compared with a standard eight watt fluorescent tube.

The shares were unchanged at 5.5p. Earlier in June Eruma raised £603,000 at 5.75p a share.
