Focus Solutions says that it had £4m in cash at the end of March 2009.

That is more than forecast by analysts but it could be flattered by advance payments. The consumer facing financial software systems developer’s revenues and profits are in line with expectations.

This positive news added 4.5p to the share price taking it to 32.5p, which values Focus at £9.58m.

The results for the year to March 2009 will be announced in June 2009. House broker Daniel Stewart forecasts 2008-09 profits of £1.9m, rising to £2.4m in 2009-10.

Management says that it has a strong pipeline of work and that tighter regulation is driving the market.

The shares are trading on less than five times 2009-10 prospective earnings.
