Fusion IP says that progress made by its investee companies will lead to a significant uplift in the portfolio valuation at the end of July 2011.

Full year figures are due to be published in the week beginning 10 October.

Three portfolio companies have raised additional funds over the past month. This includes Sheffield-based microscopy and imaging company Phase Focus. An £865,000 fundraising has reduced Fusion IPís stake in Phase Focus to 49.1% so it will be deconsolidated from group figures.

Fusion IP has exclusive rights to the commercialisation of research generated by The University of Sheffield and Cardiff University.

At 23.5p a share, Fusion IP is valued at £12.8m.
