eSports business Gfinity is launching a dedicated eSports event space in the Vue multiplex cinema in Fulham Broadway.

The cinema has nine digital screens and Vue and Gfinity will work together to promote eSports events and there will be an online presence on myvue.com. Part of the cinema will be turned into a dedicated 600-capacity eSports venue, the Gfinity Arena.

The venue will open in March and hold 25 events every weekend up until September.

Gfinity will commit to a monthly rental fee which can be clawed back through ticket revenues. Any additional revenues will be shared equally. Gfinity has a total commitment of £350,000.

At 21.75p a share, up 1.25p, Gfinity is valued at £16.9m. When it joined Aim at the end of 2014, Gfinity raised £3.5m at 17p a share and it was valued at £13.2m.
