Membership software supplier Gladstone’s board has reaffirmed its opposition to the appointment of Mark Leonard of 29.9% shareholder Constellation Software Inc.

Chairman and chief executive Dr Said Ziai says that Constellation were reckless to vote against five of the resolutions at the AGM on 27 February 2009.

One of the resolutions that was not passed concerned the issue of shares held in treasury by the company. Dr Ziai believes that Constellation was worried about the dilution of its own holding.

Dr Ziai reminds shareholders that their proxy voting forms need to be submitted by 12pm on 11 March 2009 at the latest.
