Acceptances for Constellation Software Inc’s 25p a share bid for Gladstone have reached 41.52%.
They were 38.97% at the previous closing date and since then Constellation has acquired 554,000 shares taking its stake to 29.99% and acceptances from other shareholders have risen from 10.13% to 11.54%.
The final closing date is 30 December. Constellation says that it will not increase its bid unless there is a competing bid.
Gladstone continues to urge that the bid should be rejected.
The shares were unchanged at 24.25p each – 23.5p/25p.
